Fishmonger Jo has many friends in the Hawaiian Islands' Food Industry and she'd like to acknowledge them on this page. You will also find links to great places as she discovers wonderful things to do during her travels throughout the islands. In addition to Fishmonger Jo's "Links of Interest", the Fishmonger's Husband will be reviewing special island eateries and favorite treasures so that you'll know where to go when you come to visit Hawaii.

Please feel free to contact Jo if there's any thing interesting you'd like her to link to on her site. I'm sure that she'd be happy to include anything as long as it relates to Hawaii food and entertainment, especially seafood.

Jo McGarry

Jo McGarry is a local food writer for the Honolulu Star-Bulletin and also hosts her own weekend talk-radio program entitled "Table Talk." Her charming personality and genuine Scottish wit come pouring through during each and every conversation with her. Jo's take on Hawaii Dining has brought her a good degree of notoriety around town as well as the respect of an entire dining community that just can't wait to hear what she's going to say next. Always, proper and never exceedingly harsh, Jo's food and wine reviews carry their own weight and I wouldn't be shocked if she were a strong promoter of the Hawaii truth-in-dining act (if there ever was going to be such a thing).

Dean Okimoto

Dean Okimoto is far and away Hawaii's favorite and most popular farmer. Dean is responsible for helping Fishmonger Jo out in those early days when just going out there to meet folks was a big challenge. Dean has always strived to do the most for promoting Hawaii and it's agriculture. In addition to bringing the world Nalo Greens, he has also launched a line of dressings that you should soon be able to find on your grocer's shelves.
